Rain - lots and lots of rain. It was a day for hunting and gathering, Pulled from reality by a ray of sunshine, Our Ken made it to the gates without a jacket, Lee walking to the Regalridgemobile with outer wear for both. Our Ken was appreciative as the deluge broke a few kilometers later. Laden with dog food, fruits and vegetables, the vehicle found Regalridge by late afternoon. Our Ken also bought dirt - like that was necessary. A visit with Reg and a good by to the favourite server at the favourite restaurant rounded out the trip. Hugs all around were dispensed and the server's imminent move to Labrador discussed over plates of clams.
The kennel is quiet with the departure of the focused little Welsh. Coby is holding the fort, having learned the ropes from the best. Sarah encourages him to direct his energies to assisting in analyzing potential for an escape route from the big yard. Coby demurs. Trebia dances around Sarah, encouraging her efforts but hoping for a good chase. Her boyfriend is due for a visit.
The house dogs are thriving. Clementine was dropped off early morning for a week end visit. She immediately claimed the best bed, woofed her way to breakfast, fresh water, biscuits and ins and outs, noting that water falling from the sky is not to her liking - would we please fix that. The regular den crew realigns with Clem in residence, gingerly walking around Her Highness as she trolls for any reason to complain. Rocky is settling back to a routine change with Billy's return. Leaving Billy along the road would be much more to Rocky's liking.
Dinner was a spring event - fabulous salmon steaks, snaps, new potatoes and ice cream. And we are on to the end of the work week
